Published by Anton Koberger. The present illustration derives from a copy of the famous "Biblia germanica", which was the ninth German Bible printed by Anton Koberger. He created it on the basis of the wood blocks of the Low German bible by Heinrich Quentell in 1478. Until far into the 16th century the illustrations had an impact on following generations of artists in Germany and Italy, among them Albrecht Dürer.
