Leather flask with silver-gilt revetment and filigree ornamentation with enamel and ribbed almond-shaped corals. Portable flasks-gourds constituted an indispensable part of the soldier’s or traveller’s equipment and, when richly decorated, denoted the owner’s social status. Probably from Saframpolis (Safranbolu) in the Pontos, 18th c. H. 0,352 m. Gift of Stephanos and Penelope Delta. (ΕΑ 849)
