Lech Wałęsa, the leader of the Gdańsk shipyard workers’ strike, addresses the supporters of the strike gathered at gate No. 1 of the Gdańsk Shipyard, standing on an electric cart. Wałęsa had been working at the shipyard for many years as an electrician.
