LeCoultre Diamond Watch

Jaeger - Lecoultre Watch Co.c. 1953

National Watch & Clock Museum

National Watch & Clock Museum
Columbia, Pennsylvania, United States

This ladies wristwatch was made in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Original records indicate it was made in the style of a watch presented by the Swiss government to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her coronation, but neither the museum nor Jeager-LeCoultre can confirm this.

This beauty is made out of 18 K yellow gold and studded with no less than 13 full cut diamonds; even the connectors on either side of the watch face mimic the shape of the formal coronation crown.
