The 1967 Lectron construction set, developed by the company Braun, made the basics of electronics easily graspable thanks to its experimental instructions and well-thought-out design. Using the instruction booklet, users could learn how to combine building blocks marked with electronic symbols to make a functioning circuit. Thanks to magnets on their underside, the blocks adhered to a metal base plate, while metal contacts transmitted the current. The transparent plastic housing offered a view of the electrical components on the inside of the blocks.
