The left arch of the Portico of the Glory is made up of two semicircular archivolts and a third one that outlines the larger in a rain gutter way. There is no eardrum, so the iconography fits into a very small space, in this case radially. In the major arch the twelve tribes of Israel are represented, while in the minor, the anastasis the descent of Christ into Hell, is represented.
