Leg-rattles

These leg rattles are made of dried woven leaves from 'muhabea tree' ( milletia oblata dunn). Rattles are among the earliest musical instruments used to produce sound when shaken during traditional ceremonies. Young men within the community wear them around their legs as they dance to the beat.
