Dress created by Lina Broydo, the San Jose Fairmont Hotel's Public Relations Director, for an event honoring columnist Leigh Weimers. Broydo came up with the idea after realizing that she would not be able to think of anything original to say about Weimers given all the other tributes that people would be making at the event. Broydo glued clippings of Weimers' Mercury News columns to a simple black dress; the glue caused the dress to tighten and she was unable to wear it without cutting slits in the sides, which she then closed with with bows of black ribbon.
