Gongsun Sheng is eight chi tall, with eyebrows resembling the Chinese character for "eight", almond-like eyes and a noble appearance. A Taoist priest from Jizhou, he possesses the abilities to perform magic, summon the wind and rain, ride the mist and drive the clouds. He is thus nicknamed "Dragon in the Clouds". He is one of the seven men who initiated the founding of the Liangshan cause and one of the earliest to join the Liangshan band. After Song Jiang pays allegiance to imperial court, he returns to his hometown in Jizhou, where he devotes the rest of his life to the study and practice of Taoism.
