Dear Maria,
We looked for you everywhere after Mr. Rubinstein’s concert was over but I guess you had gone back to see him, because we couldn’t find you. We enjoyed the concert so much and I have been wanting to see you and thank you for it, but my mother has been very hill with a bad attack of arthritis. She must have a nurse with her and my sister and I have been worried about her.
But I hope to see you soon. Perhaps if you are not busy some night next week we could eat supper together. Will you telephone me if this would please you?
Very many thanks for the tickets for the lovely concert.
Betty Chamberlain
