Unidentified members of the National Association of Letter Carriers' (NALC) band pose for a group photograph. As noted on the drum in the center of the photograph, these carriers belonged to Seattle, Washington's Branch 79 of the NALC. The US postal system has a long history of employees forming sports teams, bands, and choirs, the first of which began forming in the late nineteenth century.
