Horn, Florence. [Carta, 1942 Feb. 17], New York, NY [para] Maria Portinari;
Candido Portinari,
Brodowski, SP. [inglês][datilografado]
Dear Maria and Portinari and all the Portinaris in Brodowski:
I opened this to see if it ought to be sent Air Mail. And I might as well send it that way – and write a letter on it.
I’m happy that you left N. Rockefeller and MacLeish on good terms.
How are things going with you. Happy to be back at Brodowski? Did you see Lota and her trunks full of stuff?
Is the sky still beautiful, and the clouds and the sunset? I often think of Brodowski, and the good time I had there.
I saw Mrs. Rudes in Washington, but I didn’t take any pictures because the house in the country is closed and I haven’t any real home in NY – just a little tiny place.
Maria Sermolino hasn’t come back to work yet. Soon, I think.
I hope you didn’t regret too much the trip by plane. All the ships got down safely – until last week, as you know.
Tell me what you are doing in Brodowski and how all the family is now.
Florence Horn
