Letter from Alice G. Masaryk to Ema Kepert.

Letter was written only two days after the declaration of independent Czechoslovak Republic.

Dear Ema,
in memory of Your faithful friendship
I´m sending You snip of Tricolour, which was given to me
by two officers with unsheathed sabres,
who came to greet us on behalf of liberated sooner deflated intelligence.
