Letter from Christabel Pankhurst to Louie Cullen

Typed carbon letter addressed to Louie Cullen from Christabel Pankhurst. Dated July 17th 1909 the letter asks Mrs Cullen to go to Norwich to 'rouse the people and get a great crowd' to attend a meeting addressed by Winston Churchill on July 26th.
The demonstration proved a great success. In a letter to the Suffragette Fellowship in 1932 Louie Cullen notes that local Norwich papers reported 'there had been no such crowds since the Diamond Jubilee' .Louie along with other Suffragettes was arrested and detained without charge until Churchill was safely out of the City.
