December 15th, 1922

Alejandro: I am terribly sorry about what has happened to you and truly my heart goes out to you with my deepest condolences.
The only thing that as a friend I can advise you is to maintain a will strong enough to bear such sorrows, which Our Lord God sends us as an ordeal, since we have been put on earth to suffer.
I have felt this sorrow in my would and I ask God to give you grace and strength enough to accept it.
