Letter from John Folsom to Yosemite Board of Commissioners, regarding his Yosemite Valley property

Letter written by John B. Folsom on July 20, 1866 in Millerton, California, to William Ashburner, member of the Yosemite Board of Comissioners, regarding Ashburner's property in Yosemite Valley. Ashburner states that he is willing to sell his ferry and Ferry House Trail step ladder to the Commission for a high price, but that he'd rather not sell at all. He also indicates that he is reluctant to make any improvements to his property, as its future ownership is uncertain.
