Letter from Louisa Garrett Anderson to Ivy Anderson. Written from Wimereux ('Boulogne Base')

Dearest Ivy

I think I shall cross by the early boat on Friday Jan 1 & catch the 5pm train to Aldeburgh - so please warn Martha to expect me then but don't tell Mother for certain until it is certain. I will wire to her from L'pool St Station. I will stay at Aldeburgh till Monday night & sleep in London on Monday & Tuesday & return here Wednesday morning.

Mona asked me to stay with her at 10 Edwards Sq & as you are probably at Aldeburgh I have accepted - although I wd come to you if you were back & liked me to come.

I will be lovely to see you all again. I am thoroughly excited at the thought. Thank you ever so much for the gramaphone [sic] records. They were a lovely Xmas present & have given infinite pleasure.
Much love
Yrs
LG Anderson

Also in the envelope: two small envelopes each containing a letter written to accompany a gift of 'cuffs' knitted for soldiers in France, from the donor.

Mona - Mona Chalmers Watson, a cousin
