Letter from Louisa Garrett Anderson to Elizabeth Garrett Anderson. Written from 60 Bedford Gardens, Campden Hill, W. Transcription:
Dearest Mother
Ever so many thanks for the Grant Allen which will be very useful.
I hope you will come up on Monday and perhaps stay with Alan [Her brother, Alan Anderson. Married to Ivy (mentioned later)] and both come to see us off on Tuesday. We might dine together on Monday.
Later on when we are settled and the work in progress you and Alan must come to Paris and see our hospital.
I think all our big arrangements are made - and only a few of my own private arrangements and details left. We got £80 by this morning's post.
Very much love dearest
Yrs
Louie
