Letter from Thomas Jefferson to his granddaughter, Anne Randolph, Washington, 7 June 1807

Writing from Washington to his granddaughter Anne, Jefferson drew a plan for a winding walk at Monticello. "this could give us abundant room for a great variety," he explained. "I inclose you a sketch of my idea, where the dotted lines on each of the black line show the border on each side of the walk."
