[inglês][datilografado] Dear Mrs. Vasconcellos: Following our recent telephone conversation, I would like to make a formal request to borrow the painting by Candido Portinari titled “Wild Beasts” for our South American exhibition to be held October 10 – November 29, 1959. We will, of course, pay all expenses and insure the painting en route and while on exhibition here. If it is possible for you to loan this painting to our exhibition I would appreciate your completing the loan form enclosed and returning it to me. Also, arrangements for packing and shipping things from New York to Dallas have been made with Hahn Brothers, 112 W. 107th Street, New York City, and I hope it will be possible for you to have the painting ready for them to pick up around the first week in September so we may receive it around the middle of September. Again, I hope it will be possible for you to lend to this exhibition since there is a good possibility that the painting can be purchase while in Dallas. Thank you again for your cooperation.
