Hanke, Lewis; Library of Congress. Hispanic Foundation. [Carta] 1942 Feb. 13,
Washington, D.C. [para] Candido Portinari, Rio de Janeiro, RJ. [inglês][datilografado]
Estimado senhor Portinari:
We have just received from Mrs. Paine the enclosed three photographs for senhora Portinari and we hasten to forward them at once. Also enclosed is a copy of the famous article in the MAGAZINE OF ART which I hope you will cherish because of its particularly interesting history. The sounds of battle have now died down and all seems to be proceeding well.
Many people come every day to see your murals and we are more than ever convinced that the day the Portinari bandeira arrived was a very fortunate day for the Hispanic Foundation and the Library of Congresss.
With best wishes from all your friends in the Hispanic Foundation I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Lewis Hanke
Director
