Tymoteusz Karpowicz corresponded with the Wrocław poet Marianna Bocian ever since he left the country in 1973, but some letters sent from the USA were probably lost along the way. There are 12 letters from Karpowicz to Bocian from 1978–1999 and 22 letters from Bocian to Karpowicz (1988–1999) preserved in Ossolineum. In a letter of good wishes for the New Year 1985, the poet expressed his pride in Marianna Bocian as an artist and in Wrocław, which he considered his home town. The manuscript is part of Marianna Bocian’s collection.
