A corner of the library in Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor's home in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. A tall bookcase is set into the wall; a globe occupies the uppermost shelf. In the corner, a couch upholstered in yellow silk rests against the wall beneath a set of paintings. Two of the paintings, in oval frames, are of pugs. A gilded chandelier hangs over the couch. Next to the couch is a long table holding a vase containing a small tree with red berries. Near the bookshelf are a carved wood armless chair upholstered with large red cushions, an armchair upholstered in yellow silk, and a large ottoman upholstered in red.
