The library of Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor's home in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. A couch upholstered in yellow silk sits beneath a painting of Scrope Howe, 1st Viscount Howe and his horse, by George Stubbs, and four oval-framed paintings of pugs. Gilded chandeliers hang over the couch. A low table with curved legs sits in front of the couch. Atop the table is a black vase containing a small tree with red berries. Around the table are armchairs upholstered in yellow and red fabric, and a large ottoman with a red-upholstered cushion. The room's carpet bears red floral motifs in octagonal frames on a white background.
