Lided jewellery or toilet case with hexagonal shape. Made in the second half of the 17th century of mahogany wood, shell, ivory and silver. It was used to keep women’s make-up and jewels. Although this kind of pieces was manufactured in Flanders and Spain, this one seems to come from America, most probably from Mexico, suggested by some hints in its technique and ornamentation.
