Vilnius, Lithuania

The Vilnius Light Festival transforms the city into a magical nocturnal wonderland, where streets, squares, and historic facades glow with spectacular light installations and projections. Artists from Lithuania and around the world use innovative lighting, video mapping, and interactive art to reinterpret the urban landscape, creating immersive experiences for visitors of all ages. From vibrant illuminations along the Vilnia River to playful light sculptures in public squares, the festival invites everyone to explore the city after dark, turning familiar landmarks into dazzling, unexpected sights. It’s a celebration of creativity, technology, and the enchanting atmosphere of Vilnius at night.

“Onion Skin” by Olivier Ratsi is a graphical work about the re-composition of time and space through a game of perspectives. Built around a progressive structure, made up of 4 parts lasting 14 minutes in total, the piece plays on the principle of repetition and scale to create a physical and hypnotic experience that opens doors onto the hidden and untouchable.
