Lighting up the paraffin lamp at sundown in Cape Wrath Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built by Robert Stevenson in 1828 and manned until 1998 when it became automatic.
The photograph was taken by Peter Cooke who worked as an ethnomusicologist at the School of Scottish Studies, University of Edinburgh from 1969 to 1989.
