Bogusław Bachorczyk's art features motifs relating to the properties and mechanisms of memory. The eponymous Limahl is a pop singer, the author of the Never Ending Story blockbuster, a teen idol in 1980s and an icon of the LGBTQ community. Bachorczyk was fascinated with the figure of the British pop artist already in his childhood. To show the popculture idol the artist made use of his image prevalent in the media. He transformed a popular photograph into a unique artwork thanks to the use of untypical materials such as glitter and silvery cord, pastel colours and infantile animal motifs, which create an aura of trashy luxury. As a result, the portrait of the idol, being far from the stereotypical masculine images, is an attempt at reinterpretation of the traditional iconography of heroes.

Bogusław Bachorczyk (b. 1969) pursues painting, sculpture, photography, makes videos. Graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow (diploma in 1998). Academic teacher at his alma mater. The artist annexes urban spaces. He remade his flat/studio into an experimental installation that undergoes constant transformation.
