LIMBURG PRAYER-BOOK

This Prayer-book was made for a woman and was also actually used by at least one woman, more specifically ‘suster katryna marghrieten smytten’ (as stated on the seventh front endpaper). The fact that is was for a woman is clear from several linguistic gender references concerning the user.
