Known for their wide wingspan, frigate birds can stay aloft for days. Rather than rapidly flapping their broad wings, they coast on ocean currents for miles without flapping to stay airborne. This bird would have used its long beak to scoop fish out of the water as it flew near the surface of oceans and rivers.
