Linda Alvarado
Business Leader/CEO
1950 -
INDUCTED 2002
Linda overcame prejudice and significant social and economic challenges to become a leader in both the construction industry and business community and has become a role model and motivator of women.
She has worked her way from the ground up, drawing strength from humble beginnings in New Mexico to become one of the most powerful and influential women in America. Breaking into the previously all-male worlds of construction and even major league baseball – Linda is president and CEO of Alvarado Construction and a co-owner of the Colorado Rockies. Her quiet philanthropy helps others achieve their dreams. As one of a handful of women designated as a Sara Lee Front Runner, she donated her $25,000 honorarium to the International Women’s Forum for scholarships for women.
“The biggest mistake we can make is not wanting to make a mistake.” — Linda Alvarado
