Trip to Lisca, popular Posavje’s hiking destination.
The town of Sevnica with its pleasant climate, beautiful countryside, well-kept walking paths and natural river swimming spots attracted guests from all over Austria-Hungary, who were nicknamed ‘zomerfrišers‘ (summer holidaymakers) by the locals. With the arrival of the railway in the Posavje region in 1862, the world became a much smaller place and Sevnica, which offered plenty options for accommodation and trips, developed into a popular resort town. After several hiking paths were developed and mountain huts were built, the nearby hills – Topolovec, Sv. Rok, Lisca, Mrzla planina and Bohor – became popular hiking destinations for visitors, who could thus enjoy the fresh mountain air and sun.
