Melbourne Cricket Club

Melbourne Cricket Club
Jolimont, Australia

Hand-painted lithograph of cricketers wearing striped blazers. Four men are in the foreground next to a set of stumps. Three carry cricket bats and two are holding balls. They each have baggy caps and striped blazers of assorted colours, and all wear purple-coloured trousers. Two other cricketers are in the middle ground, and in the background is a conical marquee with two seated figures inside. Beyond the marquee are trees, with the top of a church tower rising above them on the left. The lithograph is mounted on card which has been unevenly cropped along the top edge.
