Little Grand Canyon Yellow

Thomas taught art many places, including at the University of Georgia from 1945 to 1965, when he retired. He collected and used earth samples to make his pigments, including in this work, which includes earth he collected at Providence Canyon, Georgia, commonly known to Georgians as the Little Grand Canyon.
