Part of a folded medieval almanac, showing pictures of the signs of the zodiac alternating with the corresponding labour of the month, mostly agricultural in nature. Located on the exterior side of the almanac, above the cardinal fold when parchment fully opened (22 compartments). The January sign (Aquarius) and occupation (likely feasting) are missing. The December occupation came on the fold which was exposed when the sheet was closed and has been obscured by damage but may show someone returning from a successful hunt. Cuts every two compartments allow each monthly pairing of zodiac and labour to be opened downward to reveal a liturgical calendar for the corresponding month on the interior, marking holy days in the Christian calendar with illustrations of saints.
