The living room of Getty Oil executive Gordon Getty and his wife Ann's San Francisco home. The walls are painted yellow, with mouldings and decorative friezes detailed in white. A gilt framed mirror sits above a mantelpiece detailed with neoclassical motifs, and holding a pair of crystal candelabras. Paintings of birds hang on either side of the fireplace. On an Oriental rug covering the entire floor are a couch and chair upholstered with floral embroidery, and an 18th-Century chaise lounge upholstered in red. On one side of the room, near the window, is a tall Chinese carved wood writing desk and cabinet.
