Liz Ellis wore this skirt on her debut playing netball for Australia in 1993. The champion goal keeper won several national netball titles as captain of the Sydney Swifts team. Perhaps her greatest success came as a member of the national team, the Diamonds, which she captained from 2004.
Ellis played 122 games for Australia in a career spanning 15 years, winning three world titles and two Commonwealth Games gold medals. She is the most capped player in Australian netball history. The ‘Liz Ellis Diamond’ is awarded annually to Australia’s most outstanding netballer.
