This antique magnum amphibian paperweight is a rare tour du force of craftsmanship. Very few of these pieces were made, as they were quite difficult to create. The coiled lizard itself required layering two colors of glass and faceting or cutting through the top layer to give the appearance of scales, prior to reheating for encasement.
