This postman has a motor boat - 'The Waterwitch' to ensure letters can be delivered to all the remote addresses. L/S Loch Lomond showing boats. Postman, Alexander John MacFarlane, walking towards boats, goes along gangway. C/U shot of pennant flag 'Royal Mail' on boat mast. Alexander is seen at the wheel. The boat pulls up to the breakwater and the postman gets out. He makes his way up the hill, Loch Cruinan is seen behind. M/S as he goes up to a cottage door and put the letters behind a stone by the door. M/S as the boat moves away from the jetty.

Shots of the boat on the loch - point of view shot towards the shore, tracking shot of wooded hills on shore and to rear as boat crosses water. Alexander reaches Ich Fad. Mrs Hewitt comes down to jetty to collect mail, and pass some for posting. Boat approaches Ich Mullin, postman gets out of boat and up steps of pier, rings ancient bell at Inchmurrin. Owner of island greets postman, picturesque shots of loch, and loch with boats.
