Log Driving Structure, La Mauricie National Park

Moss covered pieces of log in shallow water. Bouchard Creek was modified in the days of log driving to accommodate logs, and the water level rose after a dam was built downstream on the Saint-Maurice River. This would have allowed invasive species to cross some natural barriers.
