Seven loggers (and perhaps an eighth out of view) work felling trees at the edge of a forest, with pine forest and mountains in the distance. The two lumberjacks at center both work on felling a tree, using axes to chop at the trunk after they had sawed in the opposite side with a two-man saw.

Meanwhile, beyond them in the distance, three men work a fallen tree. two on the left saw the log while a the logger on the trunk (right) end appears to be working the trunk with a two-man saw with a partner that we cannot see (as he is behind the tree in the foreground). Beyond him, in the distance at right, another two-man team prepares to fall another tree. All wear lederhosen and all but the man on the far right are shirtless.
