The relevance of Stella Stone's work exists as a visual response to her global experience. An echo of colours, textures, evolving languages, bold statements and reflections on cultural clashes as experienced by her. Her work exists to debate, to question and to inquire. The mediums she chooses to explore become a new voice of sound, providing sense of ownership and appreciation. She speaks three languages; the spoken word, mannerisms and expression she uses as new tools to further the capacity of her work, expanding on her heritage. In order to understand the space around her, emotional intelligence and mental flexibility in collaboration with pastels, pencils, markers, old and new paper, collage her own truth in an effort to expand my understanding of the world. She is interested in the revitalization of objects to create new light, the circular approach and it’s unmistakable value to her. She seeks to open the visual conversation, the heated dialogue and the globalized interest that surrounds us on a daily basis. The aim is always to offer the viewer multiple sides of a story, to be able to let them question, contemplate and wonder.
