Lost

Lost is a lithograph by the South African artist Cyprian Mpho Shilakoe (1949-1972). The work shows a young man lost in the forest with an evil spirit crawling closer. Short Biography: Cyprian Mpho Shilakoe was born in Barberton ini the Mpumalanga Province in 1949. From 1968 to 1970 he studied at the Rorke's Drift Art School under the tutelage of Azria Mbatha. After his studies he started a studio in Roodepoort Gauteng but died in a car accident in September of 1972 at age 26 only working for five years.
