Elaine says: "Lottie (Charlotte Easton) has been an Auxiliary Nurse for 33 years and is currently based in Forth Valley Hospital. She also teaches Zumba classes for adults in Linlithgow and Falkirk. Lottie and I use the same teaching venue in Linlithgow, however it was through this portrait project that we become acquainted.
I wanted to capture Lottie's friendly and caring demeanour, the person behind the hospital uniform. She loves country walks and wild flowers, hence the small bunch of wild flowers in her hands. I am pleased to say she is very happy with the painting and wants to show it to her Zumba students and hospital colleagues."
Lottie says: "I was surprised and honoured to be chosen by Elaine to have my portrait done as a key worker for the NHS, it gives the public the opportunity to see the workers behind the masks and that we share the same fears and anxiety as everyone else and at the same time giving out hope. I love the way she used colours. It is so much more than I expected, totally professional experience. Thank you."
