Photographic collection of Gabriel Cromer Writing of my grandfather Jean Baptiste Sabatier Blot, (signature) Libert, born Laisné Original reproduced in heliogravure [only the head] by the 'Daguerre Committee' for the monument of Cormeilles-en-Parisis in 1883; probably the oldest portrait of Daguerre in daguerreotype, on a plate at first, thick and non-beveled;in any case his only dated portrait; Daguerre was 57 years old. Acquired from the granddaughter of Sabatier-Blot, Madame Libert, daughter of Victor Laisné, photographer, married to the daughter of Sabatier-Blot, [the same] daughter of which I have two childhood portraits taken in daguerreotype by her father.

Rarissime portrait de Daguerre au daguerreotype de Gabriel Cromer / Acquis de la petite-fille de Sabatier-Blot, Mme Libert [?], fille de Victor Laisné, photographe, marié à la fille de Sabatier-Blot, dont j'ai tous les portraits de jeunesse, puis au daguerréotype par son père. / Original reproduit en héliogravure (tête seulement) par le ""Comité Daguerre"" pour le monuement de Cormeilles-en-Paris en 1883; probablement le plus ancien portrait de Daguerre au daguerreotype, sur plaque du début, épaisse et biseautée ; en tout cas son seul portrait daté ; Daguerre avait 57 ans. / Original également de l'émail de Mathieu-Desroches existant à la Société Française de photographie.
