Louis Pasteur in his laboratory

Louis Pasteur is in his laboratory at the Ecole normale supérieure in 1885, the year the rabies vaccine was developed. In his right hand, Louis Pasteur holds a vial containing the spinal cord of a rabbit infected by the rabies virus; the cord was used in the production of rabies vaccines.
