Depicted on one side is the figure of Andromeda tied to the rock, flanked by her father Cepheus, ruler of the kingdom of Ethiopia, and warriors dressed in eastern clothing. Below, Perseus fights the sea monster that threatens the kingdom, flanked by Eros, who recalls the myth’s happy romantic ending. Depicted on the other side is a scene of an offering at a tomb.
