Lunascope

A lunascope is a magical tool that helps wizards identify phases of the Moon. Newt Scamander carries a lunascope with him to New York in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In his book, Newt describes a creature – the elusive Mooncalf – that can only be seen during a full Moon.
