Gene Autry held the title of "The Singing Cowboy" and his career in radio, movies, and television stretched from the 1930s into the 1960s. Interestingly, his most famous songs didn't have cowboy themes but were about Christmas instead--"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman."
