Luteuthis shuishi O'Shea and Lu 2002

This specimen is the first holotype among the NMNS invertebrate collections. More importantly, it is the only known specimen in the world. The specimen was collected, by Professor Chung-Cheng Lu of the National Chung-Hsing University during his visiting study at NMNS in 1995, in the 700 meter-deep-sea of the Dongsha Islands.
